T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 37 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 14 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
The Role
The Business Analyst (BA) is a key member of the Digital Platform Management team, responsible for bridging business needs with technical solutions across T&T’s digital platforms and applications. This role collaborates closely with stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA specialists to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring successful delivery of platform enhancements, application features and operational improvements.
Major Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements including user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria for digital platforms and application enhancements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external development vendors to ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives, technical standards and platform capabilities.
- Lead and facilitate requirement workshops, discovery sessions, and sprint planning meetings as needed.
- Collaborate with data analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications and visual reports, and support the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses using business intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI.
- Partner with the QA Specialist to review and validate test cases, ensuring proper coverage of business scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Review test plans and support UAT to confirm solutions work as intended.
- Participate in periodic platforms deployment cycles during off-peak hours, supporting readiness checks and post-release validation.
- Act as focal point of daily system-related inquiries and issues from end users, providing initial troubleshooting, resolution, or escalation as appropriate.
- Analyze platform and application issues to identify root causes, recommend improvements, and support incident resolution processes.
- Provide operational support for digital platforms, including user account management, permissions updates, and coordinating system access during employee onboarding and offboarding.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
- 3+ years of Business Analyst experience in digital, e-commerce, retail, or technology environments.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in business Analysis, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
- Experience in retail, grocery, or Magento/CRM/CDP platforms is an asset.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools, such as Power BI or Tableau, is a plus.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams using Agile and Waterfall methodologies to deliver enterprise-level solutions is an advantage.
