Job Description

We seek a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in SQL, data analysis, and regulatory reporting within banking or capital markets. The ideal candidate will understand financial data, be proficient in BI tools, and interpret complex datasets to drive insights and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze financial and regulatory data requirements.
2. Perform data analysis using SQL and other tools to identify trends and insights.
3. Translate business needs into technical specifications and data models.
4. Work with data engineering and reporting teams to maintain data accuracy.
5. Develop dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
6. Interpret regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel, CCAR, Dodd-Frank, MiFID) into data solutions.
7. Conduct data quality checks and root cause analysis.
8. Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
9. Support UAT and validation of data/reporting solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Banking or Capital Markets.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with regulatory reporting and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, visualization).
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and metadata management is a plus.
• Experience with data tools like Alteryx, SAS, Python, R is beneficial.
