Position Overview

Calian is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Dietitian to join our dynamic healthcare team at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden. In this rewarding full time role, you’ll work independently while collaborating closely with other health care professionals to support the health and well-being of our military personnel.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized nutritional care and education. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments and developing individualized care plans to meet the unique dietary needs of clients.
• Providing one-on-one and group counseling sessions focused on nutrition education, healthy eating habits, and disease management.
• Supporting clients through evidence-based dietary interventions and ongoing management of their nutrition goals.
• Offering expert consultation and training to fellow healthcare professionals regarding the nutritional management of specific medical conditions.
• Creating and delivering group education programs, using innovative teaching tools and instructional materials to promote healthy lifestyles.
• Receiving referrals from the interdisciplinary healthcare team and contributing to collaborative treatment planning.

Qualifications

• A Baccalaureate Degree in Science in Nutrition or Dietetics from a recognized university accredited by Dietitians of Canada;
• The completion of a Canadian accredited dietetic internship program.
• Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C; and
• Licence from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice.
