About The Opportunity

Under the direction of the Manager of Nutrition & Food Services and in collaboration with the Clinical Dietitian, the Dietetic Technician conducts nutrition risk screening, identifies at-risk patients, and refers them to the Dietitian. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, documenting information, calculating BMI and weight loss, managing menus, visiting patients during meal rounds, inputting meal data into the system, and providing straightforward nutrition education.

About You

We welcome applicants with:

  • Food Service Supervisor certification or acceptable equivalent (2-3 years undergraduate program in food and nutrition or similar coursework)
  • Knowledge of Food and Nutrition Services, therapeutic diets, and basic nutrition
  • Computer skills; familiarity with the 'Vision' menu management system is an asset
  • Excellent communication, teaching, time management, and organizational skills
  • Competencies in other languages; French is an asset

Hours
  • Long Assignment, Part-Time; 15 hours biweekly
  • Hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation and Benefits

$25.64 - $29.86 hourly. Successful candidates may be eligible for benefits including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, life insurance, and a defined benefit pension plan.
