Job summary

Actionmarguerite in Winnipeg, Manitoba is seeking a Dietetic Aide to support Food Services. You will assist with food preparation, distribution, storage, cleaning and sanitizing, and the upkeep of all areas related to Food Services.

The position starts November 29, 2026 and is 0.47 FTE part-time, with shifts including 06:45-15:00, 7:00-15:15, 10:30-18:30 or 16:10-19:00. Preferred qualifications include a Dietetic Aide Certificate (or willingness to take the course), healthcare food service

Qualifications

• Dietetic Aide Certificate or willing to take the course.
• Experience in food service, preferably in a health care setting.
• Experience with cleaning chemicals an asset.
• Experience with operation and cleaning of food preparation equipment and scales; and
• Experience with the operations of cash register for cafeteria functions.

Responsibilities

• The Dietetic Aide performs tasks related to food preparation, distribution, storage, cleaning and sanitizing, and maintenance of Food Services areas.

Job description

The Dietetic Aide is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the food preparation, distribution, storage, cleaning and sanitizing, and maintenance of all areas pertaining to Food Services, and performs other related functions. The Dietetic Aide demonstrates a commitment to the vision, mission and values of Actionmarguerite.

Shift and Hours of Work: 0.47 FTE-part-time-term-currently 06:45-15:00/7:00-15:15/10:30-18:30/16:10-19:00
Pay Scale: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
Specifications: Term ending March 31, 2028 with 2 weeks’ notice and possibility of extension. Assignment and hours of work are subject to change at any time as per operational requirements.

• Dietetic Aide Certificate or willing to take the course;

All staff are hired for the facility. Employees may hold more than one position in different Actionmarguerite facilities, where the sum total of hours does not exceed 1.0 full-time equivalence.
