Job summary

Caressant Care invites applications for a part-time Dietary Aide at our Lindsay location (McLaughlin Rd), Ontario. Starting wage is $22.48 per hour with terms per the Collective Agreement. Join a care-focused team serving residents across Ontario in a supportive work environment.

We seek individuals with a Food Service Worker Certificate and Food Handler Training or commitment to obtain them, strong English communication, punctuality, and reliability. Experience in long-term care is a plus.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Food Service Worker Certificate and Food Handler Training Program (or commitment to obtain within the specified period).
• Must be willing to accept verbal and/or written direction.
• Able to cope with the physical and emotional demands of the position.
• Geriatric/long-term care experience is beneficial.
• Good communication skills; reading and writing in English.

What you bring…

• Successful completion of Food Service Worker Certificate and Food Handler Training Program (or commitment to obtain within a specified period, as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act and its Regulations)
• Must be willing to accept verbal and/or written direction
• Able to cope with the physical and emotional demands of the position
• Geriatric, long-term care experience is beneficial
• Experience in long-term care food service is an asset, including texture-modified diets, therapeutic and production spreadsheets
• Good communication skills, able to read and write in the English language
• Punctual and reliable

The starting rate of pay is $22.48 per hour , and the terms and conditions of employment are as set out in the Collective Agreement.
