Job summary

Golden Life is seeking a detail‑oriented Dietary Aide for Joseph Creek Village – Long-Term Care in Cranbrook, BC. This temporary, part‑time position (0.49 FTE) offers evenings shifts and the chance to contribute to quality nutrition for residents.

You will weigh ingredients, portions, set up dining areas, assist with basic food prep, operate kitchen equipment safely, and complete light clerical tasks while maintaining cleaning standards and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or higher.
• A valid Serving It Right certification (or willingness to obtain it).
• A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• A negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.

Responsibilities

• Counts, weighs and/or measures ingredients for assigned food preparation areas.
• Portions out and serves food and beverages in the dining room, gathers and replaces supplies as required.
• Set up, serve, and restock dining areas.
• Deliver food carts and stock neighborhood kitchenettes.
• Assist with basic food prep and special event service.
• Operate dishwashing and kitchen equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness in dining and kitchen spaces.
• Complete light clerical tasks as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
