Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion or enrolment in a Food Service Worker training program offered by an established college as listed in the Ontario colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002 or a registered private career college in Ontario
• Previous LTC experience an asset
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions in English
• Successful completion of the Food Handler’s Course every 5 years

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal service for residents, staff, and guests as assigned
• Check temperature and condition of all food items
• Partition food items in appropriate portion size
• Transport food carts/catering wagons to designated areas
• Set up and clear dining room tables as assigned
• Perform daily cleaning duties as assigned
• Prepare between meal nourishments and unit kitchen floor supplies as assigned
• Ensure proper delivery, storage, dating and rotation of all items
• Maintain clean work station, equipment, and storage areas
