Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Dietary Aide to serve meals to Residents in a Long Term Care setting. Shifts run mornings 7-2pm and afternoons 3:45-6:45pm, with location at Ridgeview Long Term Care, 385 Highland Rd W Stoney Creek, ON.

You will help ensure meals meet texture and diet requirements, while delivering friendly service. The role emphasizes accuracy with diet orders, maintaining a clean workspace, and using software to record temperatures.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Food Handler Certificate.
• Fluency in English required; bilingual/multilingual a plus.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while delivering service.
• Comfort using technology including web-based software.
• Flexible and adaptable to changes in duties and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to Residents in a professional manner ensuring proper diet texture.
• Maintain friendly, efficient customer service toward Residents, Family members, and co-workers.
• Adapt to customer needs and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Use software to record food temperatures and look up diet orders.
• Keep knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure accurate meal orders.
• Set tables and clean dishware, dining areas, and workspaces.

Job Description

The Dietary Aide is responsible for serving meals in the dining room for the Residents in Long Term Care.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve meals to Residents in a professional manner ensuring proper diet texture.
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward Resident, Family members, and co-workers.
• Adaptable to customer needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Uses software to record food temperatures and to look up diet orders
• Maintains general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure meal orders are processed accurately
• Set tables and cleaning of dishware, cutlery, dining tables and work area including mopping floors. Other duties as assigned by the Nutrition Manager
• Maintains the privacy, safety, and dignity of each customer by observing client confidentiality and by closely adhering to safety and sanitation standards
• Maintains compliance with ARAMARK’s standards of operation. Adheres to ARAMARK’s Business Conduct Policy at all times. Maintains all records and reports to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
