Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences seeks a Dietary Aide to create a welcoming dining experience for older adults. You’ll serve meals with warmth, take and deliver orders, and help set up and clear the dining room.

With strong teamwork and a positive attitude, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced setting, following health and safety rules, and supporting residents' preferences. Training is provided for necessary certifications.

Qualifications

• Secondary School education or equivalent.
• Food Handler Certification (training provided if not already certified).
• Experience as server or in customer service role.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced setting and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

• Take and deliver tableside food and beverage orders promptly and professionally.
• Provide attentive service reflecting residents’ preferences and personal tastes.
• Set up dining room and clear tables following Chartwell standards.
• Maintain clean and organized area to ensure safety and efficiency.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
• Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting and carrying heavy items, and handling kitchen tools safely
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
