• Urgently hiring for fulltime Dietary Aide

Swing shift : 6:30 am - 3 pm, 3 pm - 8 pm

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all food functions in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility and as directed by Dietary or other management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assisting the Dietician / Dietary Management and Cook as requested
2. Helping with meal preparation in accordance to the dietary needs of the residents
3. Assisting in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
4. Timely setting up of meal service and delivery of meal trays and food carts
5. Following the established portion controls recommended
6. Adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
7. Sweeping and mopping floors
8. Dishwashing and cleaning of utensils
9. Returning clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
10. Carrying out of garbage
11. Disposing of food and waste per facility regulations
12. Obtaining food supplies for the next meal
13. Following safety regulations and precautions at all times
14. Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
15. Adhering to all facility policies and procedures
16. Maintaining confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information

REQUIREMENTS

Education / Licensure

High school diploma or GED preferred

Qualifications / Experience

Some experience helpful, on-the-job training will be provided

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Must be able to follow oral and written instructions

Physical Requirements

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day

Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift up to 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 15 feet

Ability to read fine print on labels and menus
