Job summary

LEV Senior Living in Hamilton, ON is seeking a Casual Dietary Aid to join our caring team. You will help ensure residents enjoy pleasant dining experiences in a warm, respectful environment.

The position is permanent with an hourly wage to start at 18.09, mostly evenings and weekends. You’ll need a Food Handlers Certificate and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude focused on supporting older adults.

Qualifications

• Exhibits a caring, nurturing attitude toward residents.
• Reads, writes and communicates effectively in English.
• Possesses a positive, can-do attitude and works well with supervision.
• Is task-oriented and a collaborative team player.
• Experience serving older adults is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all mealtimes are a pleasant dining experience for residents and families.
• Deliver services in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
• Maintain confidentiality of facility information.
• Assist with dining room setup, take orders and serve meals.
• Perform cleaning duties as required.

Responsibilities:

• The dietary server is responsible for ensuring that all mealtimes are a pleasant dining experience on a consistent basis for the resident and their families.
• To ensure that services are delivered in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
• Maintain confidentiality of all facility information.
• Assist with preparation and set up of dining rooms for meal service, take resident meal orders and serve meals.
• Cleaning duties as required
