Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is hiring a Dietary Aide to join the Long Term Care team in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment. You will contribute to compassionate care by assisting with meal preparation and service, while keeping residents’ dietary needs and preferences in mind.

You’ll work with a supportive team that values dignity, respect, and living well for every resident, with opportunities for learning and growth in a purpose-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Safe Food Handler Certification required or willing to obtain.
• Ability to follow residents' diets and preferences.
• Strong customer service and communication with residents and staff.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Long Term Care team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. As a Dietary Aide you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents'. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You'll Succeed

1. Food Preparation & Food Handling

• Assist with the preparation of meals, and serving meals
• Follow residents' diets and food preferences
• Take menu orders from the residents
• Set and clear tables in the dining rooms and ensure they are sanitized
• Ensure you are following proper food handling techniques

Who You Are

• Have a valid Safe Food Handler's Certificate or willing to obtain
• You are committed to providing compassion t to i support s calculations Unfortunately...
• You are detailed-oriented coupled with strong customer service skills enabling you to effectively communicate with residents and staff
• You may bring experiencein food servicefrom institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality
• While possessing a Food Service Worker Certificate would be excellent, it's not a requirement
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province
