Qualifications

Immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

• Hourly Pay : $25.92 per hour
• Certification Bonus : $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance like oil changes, brake, and tire work
• Two or more years of classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

Note : You must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire, pass Ryder drug tests, DOT physical, road test, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Conduct standard inspections and repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform necessary repairs
• Support facility maintenance
• Interact with customers / drivers to clarify issues
• Use shop management systems and documentation
• Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
• Support other operational duties as needed
