Job summary

Leggat Stouffville Ford is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our busy Ford service department. The role requires a 310S licence and diesel repair experience. You will work on diesel vehicles, participate in Ford factory training, and contribute to high-quality service standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work as per the repair order.

• Communicate with Service Advisor about needed services.
• Provide time estimates for additional repairs.
• Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specs.
• Participate in Ford training.

Leggat Stouffville Ford is looking for a skilledDiesel Technician! This position requires a standard 310S Automotive technician licence, and will be working on diesel vehicles in a busy Ford service department. You will be given the opportunity to complete Ford factory training, and given ongoing technical development by the dealership.

Compensation : Starting at $45+ per hour, pay will be based on experience, diesel expertise, and diagnostic capabilities.

Your Role:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
• Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Participate in ongoing Ford manufacturer training.

What you Bring:

• 310S technician licence and service technician experience
• Previous Diesel diagnostic and repair experience
• Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment with a bility to collaborate effectively
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
