Job summary

United Rentals in Charlottetown, Canada, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech II - CES). You will perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment safely and professionally, with opportunities to grow into higher Tech roles within our Service Dept.

You'll travel to customer sites, document work orders, and demonstrate a broad range of equipment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 1–2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment.
• Must own tools applicable to the position.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and basic schematics/diagrams.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment and tools.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance when required; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
