United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider. As a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions, you’ll perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment with limited supervision, working safely and professionally.

You may travel to customer sites and train junior techs while maintaining clear documentation and providing exceptional customer service. This role offers opportunities for advancement within the Service Department and requires strong mechanical skills,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders).
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties as needed.
