Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV) in Canada to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment with limited supervision. You will service a variety of rental and customer equipment, travel to job sites as needed, and maintain thorough documentation of work orders.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years of repair experience, and strong mechanical aptitude with excellent customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment and tools.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance when required; maintain service vehicle professionally.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
