VIA Rail Canada Inc., Canada's national passenger rail service, is currently seeking candidates to fill Heavy Duty Mechanic position, to work at its Toronto Maintenance Center in Etobicoke.
TASKS :
You will carry out inspection, preventive maintenance and running repairs on locomotives to Via Rail Standards utilizing maintenance procedures, manuals and tools.
Troubleshooting the causes of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic defects on the locomotives and perform the repair.
All inspections and maintenance should be in compliance with VIA’s maintenance program in order to continually surpass Transport Canada standards.
Schedule :
40 hours per week guaranteed; 5x8h per week or 4x10h per week
The work schedule may vary : day, night, week-end and holidays;
Over-time is available.
SALARY
Hourly salary : $42.49 / H
