Job summary

Adamas International in Vaughan, Ontario, is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to join our precision shop. The role requires a college certificate or diploma (or equivalent experience) and 3–5 years of hands-on machining in a fast-paced environment. On-site work with occasional travel is expected.

You will program CNC tools, read blueprints, inspect parts and train apprentices, using Mastercam CAD/CAM and AutoCAD to ensure tight tolerances and high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Must have a college certificate or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in precision machining.
• On-site work with willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of workpieces.
• Inspect final products and test prototypes and production tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
• Program CNC machine tools and set up conventional and CNC tooling.
• Realize machine castings and mold components; operate EDM equipment.
• Instruct apprentices and maintain accuracy with precision instruments.
