Job summary

Alberta Health Services seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for the Renal Dialysis unit in Peace River. The LPN will operate within AKC-North guidelines, providing comprehensive patient and family centered care in a multidisciplinary Hemodialysis setting.

The role involves assessment, care planning, and coordination with the team, with opportunities to advance within a varied shift pattern and to participate in training and orientation for Hemodialysis.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.
• Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as an LPN with CLHA.
• BCLS-HCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide patient and family centered care to renal failure patients.
• Work within AKC North guidelines and complete Hemodialysis unit duties as assigned.
• Follow policies, maintain safety and quality standards in a fast-paced unit.
