Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join the Diagnostic Imaging team across multiple sites. You will perform routine and specialized ultrasound procedures and contribute to department operations at the Cobequid Community Health Centre with rotation to Dartmouth General Hospital and Hants Community Hospital.

This permanent full-time role requires graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, NSRMIRT licensure, CPR certification, and flexibility for

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound.
• Nova Scotia Regulator of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NSRMIRT) licensure
• Current CPR Certification
• Comprehension of the technical language to review and use manuals
• Previous experience is an asset
• Registration with more than one ultrasound credential is an asset
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized ultrasound procedures.
• Ensure proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures.
• Travel to other sites may be required with rotation to Dartmouth General Hospital and Hants Community Hospital.
• Collaborate with the Diagnostic Imaging Team under the Manager’s supervision
