Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking an experienced CT Imaging Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform diagnostic CT procedures to professional standards and support imaging across multiple departments.

Successful candidates will hold registration with the Ontario College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists (CMRIT) and be eligible for CT certificate registration, with practical experience in CT imaging and patient care in a busy hospital setting.

  • Eligible for registration of CT certificate.
  • Experience in CT imaging and diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Diagnostic Imaging procedures to professional standards.
  • Assist in invasive procedures as needed.
  • Operate imaging equipment and related software for imaging and patient care.

Rotation/Shifts

Days, evenings and nights, including weekends, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario;
  • Eligible for registration of CT certificate;
  • Experience in CT imaging;
  • Eligible for Certification in CPR;
  • Ability to operate relevant equipment and software for imaging, non imaging and patient care applications;
  • Ability to perform Diagnostic Imaging procedures to professional standards;
  • Ability to assist in invasive procedures;
  • Knowledge of septic and aseptic techniques;
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to multi-task;
  • Good problem solving skills;
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a hospital environment performing a broad range of diagnostic imaging examinations;
