DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Toronto Hybrid

Duration: 6-12 months plus extensions

The Opportunity

We're seeking a dynamic DevOps developer with proficiency in cloud infrastructure technologies and a passion for building scalable systems. As part of our team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative applications. You will gain experience working within a team dedicated to accelerating workflows in design.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, software engineering, or related field
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience deploying web applications in production environments
• Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
• Experience with infrastructure, databases (Postgres), CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI), scripting (JavaScript, Python, Bash)
• Experience with Terraform and other infrastructure as code solutions
• Deep understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, orchestration tools, and automated configuration tools

Key Responsibilities

1. Extend, deploy, and maintain configuration management components to operate and scale infrastructure
2. Maintain multiple environments for deployment, testing, and development
3. Manage protocols and solutions for development and production workloads
4. Assist developers with delivery and integration of new features
5. Develop monitoring solutions for infrastructure health
6. Create DevOps solutions for on-premise deployment
7. Collaborate with development teams to build CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in development and operations or related IT fields
• Experience with AWS is highly valuable
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript and Python
• Strong database skills with Postgres and DynamoDB
