Join a seven‑person team, adapt to many technologies (GCP/AWS/Azure), and mentor staff while deploying Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling, and SaaS integration in a multi‑provider environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years IT developer experience, including 8+ years as a DevOps engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or computer engineering.
• Experience deploying solutions with major cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Experience delivering Kubernetes-based solutions.
• Strong cloud networking expertise (WAF, DNS, DDoS).
• IaC deployment using Terraform.
• CI/CD automation with GitHub, ArgoCD, GitOps, SonarQube.
• Proficient in C#, Java and related frameworks.
• Understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns for delivery automation.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and caching.
• Knowledge of SaaS integration principles.
• Language: French-speaking.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrialization and deployment automation for metropolitan mobility solutions.
• Contribute to feasibility, design, and implementation phases of projects, while respecting industry standards for solution, infrastructure, and software architecture.
• Define and recommend secure, reliable, and high-performance IT solutions that meet business needs.
• Promote reuse of proven solutions to optimize service quality and operations.
• Act as an expert advisor and coach for leadership and junior staff.
• Lead solution experimentation and deployment of cloud environments required for system delivery.
• Perform quality assurance of architectural documentation aligned with IT strategy.
• Design infrastructures considering functional needs, scalability, performance, and security requirements.
• Work closely with managed service providers to ensure delivery of high-performing infrastructure.
• Participate in diagnosing and resolving complex operational issues 24/7.
• Participate in risk analysis and cost-benefit assessments.

Job description

Location: Montreéal – Downtown – 6 days per month in Montreéal (Hybrid)

Duration: 4+ months with possible extension - 37.5 h/week

Pay Rate: CAD $95- CAD $100/hr – incorporated basis

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

REQUIRED

• 15+ years of experience in IT as a developer, including 8+ years as a DevOps engineer
• Bachelor's degree in IT or computer engineering
• Experience in automated deployment of robust solutions with a major cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS)
• Experience delivering solutions on Kubernetes
• Strong expertise in cloud networking, including WAF, DNS, and DDoS
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment (Terraform)
• Excellent skills in CI/CD pipeline automation (GitHub, ArgoCD, GitOps, SonarQube)
• Strong proficiency in C#, Java, and related frameworks
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns for delivery automation (microservices, event-driven architecture, streaming)
• Expertise in operational database technologies, both relational and non-relational (SQL, NoSQL, caching)
• Understanding of SaaS integration principles
• Language: French-speaking

• Experience deploying identity solutions (IAM / CIAM) for both customer users and internal contributors to technology platforms

Main Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to feasibility, design, and implementation phases of various software development and integration projects, while respecting industry standards for solution, infrastructure, and software architecture
• Define and recommend secure, reliable, and high-performance IT solutions that meet business needs
• Promote reuse of proven solutions to optimize service quality and operations
• Act as an expert advisor and subject matter expert in your domain, and serve as a resource and coach for senior leadership and junior staff
• Actively participate in and lead solution experimentation, as well as the deployment of cloud environments required for system delivery
• Perform quality assurance of architectural documentation aligned with the IT strategic plan
• Design technological infrastructures considering functional needs, scalability, performance, and security requirements
• Work closely with managed service providers to ensure delivery of high-performing infrastructure
• Participate in diagnosing and resolving complex operational issues 24/7
