Job summary

Dumas Contracting Inc. in Timmins, Ontario, is seeking a Development Miner - Conventional for the Bell Creek project. You will perform underground development activities, drill and blast, install ground support, and operate jumbos, bolters, and scoops while following strict safety protocols.

The role offers a 7/7 rotation with 10-hour shifts and a wage of CAD 67.00–73.00 per hour, along with site allowances and a comprehensive benefits package emphasizing health, pension, and safety training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of underground mining experience, preferably in development.
• Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification.
• Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.
• Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground development activities including drilling, blasting, scaling, and installing ground support.
• Operate and maintain mining equipment such as jumbos, bolters, and scoops.

• Coordinate with supervisors to meet production targets.
• Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.

About the Role

As a Development Miner with Dumas, you will perform underground development activities such as drilling, blasting, scaling, and installing ground support. You’ll operate and maintain equipment like scissor deck, jackleg, and scoops, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and conducting routine checks and maintenance.
