Job summary

EA SPORTS NHL in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Development Manager to oversee game feature delivery, schedules, and team health. Reporting to a Development Director, you will guide software engineers, animators, artists, and designers to hit milestones and maintain quality.

The role requires a solid PM background, Scrum/Agile experience, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to optimize AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of Project Management Experience with production lifecycles, processes and project planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Business, 3D Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a Scrum / Agile software development environment
  • Stakeholder management experience with cross‑functional and/or distributed teams.
  • Experience working with expansive teams, mediation and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to use generative AI productivity tools for daily workflow optimization, early‑stage ideation, rapid prototyping, with the ability to critically validate AI output and iterate effectively

  • Ensure each project setup meets the specifications with regular status reporting and capacity plan updates.
  • Establish engagement processes to ensure all workflows are clearly defined, processes are documented, and staff are trained in expectations.

Development Manager - EA SPORTS NHL

Reporting to a Development Director, a Development Manager (DM) ensures the game feature delivery is on time and within budget. This DM will support our systems team and will oversee the project schedule and manage the team to achieve a high standard. This team works hybrid/onsite in Vancouver, 3 days/week: Tuesday - Thursday.

Pay Transparency - North America
Compensation And Benefits

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES
  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top‑up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full‑time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
