Job summary

Electronic Arts in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Development Manager for the EA SPORTS UFC team to guide feature delivery, manage schedules, and lead a multidisciplinary team in a hybrid on-site environment three days a week.

Reporting to a Development Director, you will collaborate with project managers, track risks, and ensure progress aligns with leadership expectations while fostering clear workflows and documentation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Project Management or Project Lead experience with production lifecycles, processes and project planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Business, or equivalent.
  • Experience in a software development environment, including using Jira.
  • Experience working with expansive teams with a variety of skillsets, experience, and backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with Miro, Slack, Excel, Google Sheets, and other project-tracking and reporting tools is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex information, communicate risks clearly, and tailor messaging for different audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different project timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to use generative AI productivity tools for daily workflow optimization, early-stage ideation, rapid prototyping, with the ability to critically validate AI output and iterate effectively is an asset.

  • Ensure each project setup and progress is in alignment with leadership expectations. Complete status reports at the required cadence.
  • Establish processes to ensure all workflows are clearly defined, processes are documented, and team members are engaged.

Development Manager - EA SPORTSTM UFC

The EA SPORTS UFC franchise offers the electrifying spectacle and entertainment of MMA for over 20 million players across the globe. It delivers fluid and responsive mixed martial arts through inventive gameplay technology.

Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, the EA SPORTS UFC team is on a mission to become the world's greatest fighting game. If you're passionate about building immersive digital entertainment, this is the role of a lifetime.

Reporting to a Development Director, a Development Manager (DM) ensures the game feature delivery is on time and within budget. This DM will support and oversee the project schedule and manage the team to achieve a high standard. This team works hybrid/onsite in Vancouver, 3 days/week: Tuesday - Thursday.

Your Responsibilities

Pay Transparency - North America
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
