Thales Canada Inc. in Ottawa/Hybrid is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist (Detection Engineer) to prevent cybersecurity incidents through real-time monitoring, detection, and analysis of potential intrusions.

You will tune security tools, create use cases, and support remediation across Azure environments. The role requires expertise in cloud security, security operations, and incident response, with hands-on scripting and experience with Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and QRadar/XSOAR.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Monitor alerts from Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Validate Azure resource configurations against hardening standards.
• Develop automation for recurring security checks and remediation tasks.
