Make a Difference Every Day in Patient Care - Join Our Team as a Desktop Support Analyst!

At Canada Diagnostic Centres (CDC), we don’t just provide healthcare—we lead the way in diagnostic imaging, offering compassionate, timely, and high-quality services to patients across Western Canada. Since 1993, we’ve been at the forefront of diagnostic imaging and image-guided procedures, leveraging advanced technology with a strong focus on patient care.

We’re looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to support our technology infrastructure! This role is Calgary-based, with occasional travel required to other CDC locations in Alberta. You’ll be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support to end users and ensuring all systems are fully functional. Your role will involve both remote and onsite support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and playing an important client-facing role in a high-performing IT team. There will be occasional overnight trips to Edmonton as necessary, and participation in a weekly paid on-call schedule is required.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Technical Support: Provide end-to-end technical support to end users across various CDC locations in Alberta, troubleshooting hardware and application issues with a focus on medical applications.
  • Onsite & Remote Support: Deliver Windows desktop support, both in person in our Calgary-area clinics and remotely, with potential overnight travel to Edmonton as needed.
  • Hardware Management: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile phones, and more.
  • System Administration: Manage Active Directory user accounts, MS 365 mailboxes, Teams, and SharePoint permissions to ensure secure and smooth operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the members of the IT team and other departments to support CDC’s operations, enhancing patient care with reliable IT systems.
  • Ongoing Learning: Become very familiar with and stay up to date on key medical applications and contribute to continuous improvements in our IT processes.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in a rotating, paid on-call schedule, providing evening and weekend support on a regular basis.

What We’re Looking For

  • Computer-Related Degree/Diploma: A degree or diploma from a technical institute in a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years in a similar technical support role, preferably in a healthcare-related environment.
  • Certifications: Microsoft certifications and ITIL certification are considered assets.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in IT support, with strong troubleshooting skills in hardware, software, and medical applications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Detail-Oriented and time-focused: A high level of accuracy and a commitment to resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Driving Flexibility: A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel between clinics, with occasional overnight travel to Edmonton.

What We Offer

  • Health & Wellness Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, along with an Employee & Family Assistance Program.
  • Learning & Development: Unlock career growth with opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Fun Team Culture: A supportive, collaborative team with regular team-building events and recognition celebrations.
  • Generous Time Off: Enjoy vacation days, sick leave, personal hours, and paid time off for your birthday.
  • Retirement Savings: Benefit from matching RRSP/TFSA plans to help secure your financial future.

Notes

  • This is a full-time position with benefits.
  • The posting closes on March 14, 2025, at 11:59 PM MST.
