Junior Application Support Analyst to maintain and enhance critical support processes, servers and software.

One of our Calgary SaaS clients specializing energy / industrial operations solutions is looking for a Junior Application Support Analyst to maintain and enhance critical support processes, servers and software .

Six month contract to start, opportunity for contract to hire. Must be able to work onsite 4 days / week.

Must Haves :

• Less than 1 year of experience as a Application Support Analyst
• Experience with t roubleshooting technical systems and a strong ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality support and excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to clean up and validate JSON data, with or without prior experience.
• Flexibility to investigate performance issues in legacy systems and take on scripting tasks to automate workflows

Nice to Haves :

• Basic coding knowledge to assist in investigating legacy build performance issues.
• Familiarity with scripting tools (e.g., VBA, Power Automate) for automating Excel workflows.
• Exposure to SCADA systems, oilfield automation, or related technologies.
• Familiarity with SQL and basic database troubleshooting.

Responsibilities :

• Clean up and validate JSON files to support system accuracy and efficiency.
• Investigate and troubleshoot legacy build performance issues, identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
• Script and implement automations to optimize existing Excel-based workflows.
• Provide customized SCADA integration support, working closely with field staff, control room operators, and IT teams.
• Conduct maintenance, testing, and enhancements of SCADA support systems, ensuring seamless operations.
