Position Overview

Microserveis looking for a Deskside Service Technician, Tier 1 to join our onsite team inRichmond,BC.The Deskside Service Technician, Tier1's mainresponsibilities will be to help find solutions to a variety of technical problems byrespondingto hardwaretickets.

They willbe responsible fordeploying and retiring IT hardware in our branch or client environments. This may involve physical installation, transfer of settings or data, installation and configuration of software, or training and support for PCs, Laptops, Printers and Peripherals.

They will have the ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues while delivering exceptional customer service to our client.We are looking for someone whois dedicated to providinggreat customer service while solving technical problems. If you pride yourself on your technicalknow-how, delivering excellent customer service whilemaintainingand continuously upgrading your technicalskillset,this is the role for you!

Responsibilities
  • Maintains, deploys, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs workstations, laptops, printer systems, other computer hardware,softwareand related peripherals
  • Documents,maintains, upgrades,or replaces hardware and software systems
  • Performs diagnostic repairs and preventative maintenance for our clients in the local area
  • Trains and consults end users on workstations, laptops, printer functions and other computer hardware and related peripherals asrequired
  • Ensurestimelyupdates are entered into the service management tool
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to our clients
  • Manage multiple priorities
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Experience in the service and repair of computers and/or printers
  • Experience diagnosing software, network,and other IT issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive customer service skills
  • CompTIA (or similar) Certification is considered an asset
  • Manufacturer certifications are considered an asset
Position Requirements
  • Must be able tolift upto 50+ lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to manage yourday-to-daytasks
Compensation and Benefits
  • In accordance with the BC Pay Transparency Act the range for this role for BC residents is $21 - $26 per hour
  • Paid vacations
