Full Time - Insurance Advisor

Location: Pickering, ON

Desjardins is a financial services company specializing in Property and Casualty insurance, including Auto and Fire (both personal and commercial), Life insurance, Living Benefits, and Mutual Funds. Dan Piedimonte Desjardins Insurance is an agency located in Pickering. We are seeking a permanent, full-time Insurance Advisor to contribute to our agency's growth. The ideal candidate must be sales-oriented, a self-starter, and possess excellent customer service and sales skills.

About The Role

We’re looking for an Insurance Advisor to join our growing team! As an Insurance Advisor, you will significantly impact our overall growth strategy.

You should already have or be willing to obtain the OTL / RIBO provincial license to sell auto and home insurance, along with the LLQP license to sell life insurance. This is a full-time role, 36.5 hours per week, based in a small local agency office. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

What You’ll Do Here

• Cross-sell or upsell Home, Auto, Life, and Vehicle Loans to new and existing clients
• Develop leads
• Handle phone and email inquiries from clients
• Schedule appointments
• Identify customer needs and market appropriate products and services accordingly

Qualifications: What you bring to the table

• Be driven; this is a base salary plus commissions
• 2+ years of sales experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Be self-motivated with the ambition to excel
• Ability to network and connect quickly with people
• OTL / RIBO and LLQP designations are assets
• Previous experience selling in person and over the phone
