Job summary

A leading engineering solutions provider is seeking an Electrical Designer/Engineer in Toronto, Ontario to prepare detailed electrical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD. Successful candidates will have a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design is required, as well as a strong understanding of electrical construction documentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on various electrical design projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical design within an engineering consulting or AEC environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction documentation and coordination.
• P.Eng is a must have for all Electrical Engineers.

Your Electrical Engineering Skills Are Exactly What We Need!

Agilus is recruiting for an Electrical Designer/Engineer in the Engineering industry in Toronto, Ontario.

A typical day:

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD, including :Power distribution systems, Lighting and lighting controls, Fire alarm and life safety systems, Grounding and bonding, Low-voltage systems (data, security, access control, AV) etc.
• Assist with load calculations, panel schedules, risers, and single-line diagrams
• Develop construction documents from schematic design through issued-for-construction (IFC)
• Incorporate design changes and respond to internal and external review comments
• Support quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency of deliverables and assist with technical reviews and drawing checks prior to submission
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines and participate in BIM coordination and clash detection processes
• Support engineers during tendering and construction phases and Assist with responses to RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and site inquiries
• Incorporate as-built information and record drawings

Successful candidates will have:

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Design .
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design within an engineering consulting or AEC environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and knowledge of power, lighting, and life safety systems
• Strong understanding of electrical construction documentation and coordination
• P.Eng is a must have for all Electrical Engineers
• Tenant improvement experience would be an asset
