Job summary

MPE a division of Englobe in Lethbridge is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer or Technologist to lead electrical design for Building Services across commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, professional registration in Alberta, and 7+ years of experience; familiarity with Alberta standards and tools like AutoCAD, Revit, SKM/ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Registered with APEGA or ASET.
• P.Eng or P.Tech.(Eng.) certification is required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with Alberta Infrastructure and/or Defense Construction Canada design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support electrical design for Building Services team including commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
• Prepare detailed design documents including calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Model electrical power systems (up to 750V) using tools such as SKM.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings.
• Conduct site assessments and construction reviews to verify compliance with design requirements.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technologists.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, cost estimates, and client communications.
