Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Design Project Control Professional in Canada to lead cost management for major design and engineering projects. You will drive cost systems, forecasting, budgeting, and estimates to complete while ensuring robust governance and accurate reporting across the design phase of capital programs.

You will collaborate with Project Directors and Commercial Leads, manage invoicing and cash flow, and mentor cost controllers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, engineering or construction management, or similar.
• 5-8 years’ experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or project controls on large infrastructure projects (Marine projects preferred).
• Membership in recognised professional bodies (e.g., PQS, MRICS, MCIOB) is preferred.
• Proven experience in a design and engineering consultancy environment.
• Proficiency with Oracle ERP or similar financial systems, and advanced Excel; experience with Power BI, Smartsheet or similar tools is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project cost systems (Oracle, Unifier) with robust cost data across the lifecycle.
• Oversee timesheet systems, labour cost allocation, and reporting requirements.
• Prepare, analyze, and present KPI metrics, dashboards, and EV indicators for management review.
• Manage invoicing, payments, cash-flow, and accounts receivable/payable processes.
