SBM in London, Ontario is seeking a Design Coordination Lead to own the Design Coordination function for mechanical and electrical projects. You will manage day-to-day workflow, assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure quality across drawing sets and documentation.

The role emphasizes training staff, maintaining drafting standards, and coordinating with engineering teams. In‑office, with a structured 40-hour week and a salary range of $63,000–$80,000 CAD.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Architectural Technology and 5–10 years of design/drafting experience.
• Strong understanding of drawing production and project documentation.
• Experience coordinating Mechanical and Electrical design teams is an asset.
• Meticulous attention to detail with accuracy and organization.
• Excellent communication and time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Design Coordination function and its day-to-day workflow.
• Assign and prioritize tasks based on project requirements and deadlines.
• Coordinate with Mechanical and Electrical teams for drawing sets and documentation.
• Review deliverables to meet quality and drafting standards.
• Monitor deadlines and coordinate priorities to ensure on-time delivery.
• Train and support new staff transitioning into the Design Coordinator role.
• Maintain drafting standards and drawing presentation requirements.
