Job summary

HDR’s Toronto studio is seeking a motivated Co-op student for the Winter 2027 semester. You will contribute to the design process, assist in creating drawings, diagrams, and renderings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on Transit, Healthcare, Education, and Science projects.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the production of design and construction drawings.
• Producing diagrams, renderings, and walkthroughs.
• Coordinating with structural, mechanical, and electrical teams.
• Collaborating with large teams and working independently under the guidance of senior team members.
• Attending site visits and both internal and external meetings.
• Participating in office culture and design events.

We are seeking a motivated and talented Co-op student with strong active learning skills to join our Toronto design team for the Winter 2027 semester.

Our award‑winning Toronto studio is engaged in a variety of exciting projects in Transit, Healthcare, Education, and Science. You will benefit from the mentorship of our experts in mass timber, sustainability, and computational design. We will support you in fulfilling your internship program requirements and achieving your learning goals. Our team is committed to creating a meaningful internship experience for the qualified candidate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent graphic, rendering, and visual story-telling skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Software
• Proficiency in Rhino, V-Ray, Grasshopper and SketchUp
• Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD

Required Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
• Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
