Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time Design-Build Project Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with our internal design team and work with affluent homeowners and business clients across Canada and internationally. The Project Manager will support the Director of Construction in coordinating and executing construction projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in luxury residential architecture and/or construction, with a strong background in integrated design/build project delivery
- Masters degree in Architecture, PMP Certification, Construction/Building Technology Diploma, or related field. Gold Seal Certification is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of REVIT is an asset.
- Ability to bridge design intent with construction execution, with practical experience in studio and site environments; construction experience is an asset.
- Understanding of architecture/interior detailing, building systems, and construction methods across all trades and phases
- Strong knowledge of trade scopes, procurement, and residential construction; ability to evaluate value engineering options
- Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety regulations and relevant legislation
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code Parts 3 and 9, and Zoning By-Laws
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate teams
Key Responsibilities
- Lead construction activities within an integrated design/build framework in collaboration with the Directors
- Manage staff workflow to align with budgets, schedules, and design goals
- Prepare and oversee construction budgets and schedules
- Coordinate with architecture and interior design teams to develop drawings and specifications
- Manage tender and bid processes, trade agreements, and documentation
- Act as primary liaison for trades, consultants, and project team members
- Oversee site activities, monitor progress, and coordinate trades and consultants
- Review shop drawings, oversee procurement, and ensure compliance with standards
- Manage project documentation, progress reports, and client communications
- Ensure construction quality, address issues promptly, and manage deficiencies
- Coordinate as-builts and maintenance manuals for project handover
- Promote the principles of Human Architecture and embody Audax’s mission and values
