Job summary

Collins Bay Dental in Kingston, ON, is seeking a Dental Administrator to join our welcoming, patient-focused team. You will greet patients, coordinate appointments, maintain accurate records, process payments and insurance claims, and support the smooth day-to-day operations of the practice.

The role requires at least 1 year of dental administration experience and familiarity with dental software; clinical background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental administration experience is required.
• Experience with dental software programs is required.
• Clinical background is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, creating a warm and positive first impression
• Optimize the daily appointment schedule to ensure full utilization with minimal gaps
• Effectively manage the recall system and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records
• Handle incoming patient calls and inquiries, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, changes, and cancellations
• Process referral letters and other patient correspondence from providers; organize, manage, and file all patient records and charts
• Proactively manage potential cancellations and address objections to encourage patients to keep their appointments
• Complete patient billing following treatment, process payments, submit insurance claims, and respond to fee inquiries in a professional and positive manner

The wage for this Dental Administrator position is$23-$26/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
