Job summary

The Government of Nunavut is seeking a Dental Services Program Analyst in Iqaluit to support clinical dental services by researching and developing policies, resources, and legislative initiatives across Nunavut’s Dental Services program. The role includes coordinating with Health's Policy and Planning division to identify gaps and help develop regulations and legislation relevant to Nunavut.

Qualifications

  • An Undergraduate degree in political science, social science, public health dentistry, law, public administration or related field.
  • Two years’ related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and assessing legislative and policy requirements for the Dental Services Program
  • Developing a full range of Dental Services Program policy documents
  • Developing a full range of Dental Professional Practice Policy Standards for practice in Nunavut
  • Leading and/or acting as a team member for the research and development and recommendation of Dental Services Program policy initiatives, strategies and options
  • Developing a program monitoring and evaluation framework for all dental clinical policy, professional standards, and standard operating procedures
  • Assisting the Director Dental Services in coordinating the planning processes to address the program's policy and legislative needs and priorities
  • Preparing letters, responses and presentations, and briefing notes as required

Undergraduate degree in political science
