Job summary

McGill Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking a Dental Assistant to support faculty and students in clinical and lab settings. The role includes preparing instruments, assisting in dental procedures, and ensuring infection control compliance.

The incumbent will participate in modelmaking, radiography on extracted teeth, and supervision of students during practical sessions. The position requires DEP in Dental Assistance, strong manual dexterity, and bilingual English/French

Qualifications

Dental Assistant Certification is a requirement.
Knowledge of dental laboratory procedures is asset.
High degree of manual dexterity.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
English and French spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Pour models / trim models for lab exercises and labs with large numbers.
Demonstrate to students how to pour and trim models.
Take radiographs on extracted teeth and assist in oral surgery tasks.
Support in setting up practical exams and maintaining equipment in the simulation lab.
