Job summary

West End Dental Centre, part of the dentalcorp network, is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinical procedures, prepare treatment rooms, and assist dentists and hygienists. You will take X-rays, maintain infection control, update charts, and help manage scheduling for smooth patient flow.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage ($25–$30 CAD) and access to advanced technologies, ongoing training, and a supportive environment focused on patient care and professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified Dental Assistant with provincial body required.
• NDAEB certification preferred.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control per IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

Schedule:

• Monday: 10:00 AM- 7:00 PM
• Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary:

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $25-$30/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
