New Minas Dental Centre in Nova Scotia is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists during procedures, and take dental X-rays to support efficient patient care.

In this role you will maintain infection control standards, update charts, and help with scheduling and patient education. We value teamwork, privacy compliance, and compassionate patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
