Job summary

Birchmount Dental Group in Scarborough, ON, is seeking a Dental Assistant on a replacement basis. You’ll prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X‑rays, and maintain IPAC standards while delivering compassionate patient care.

Registered/certified dental assistant required; previous experience preferred. This full‑time, on-site role offers a competitive wage of $25–$30/hour with a comprehensive rewards package, including RRSP matching and an Employee Assistance Program.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
