Job summary

Birchmount Dental Group is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our team across Scarborough and Barrie locations. The role is a replacement position with wage between $25-$30/hour, depending on skills and location.

You'll prepare rooms, assist clinicians, take X-rays, and maintain patient care with a focus on safety and efficiency. Candidates must be registered or certified with their provincial regulatory body, with prior dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

Schedule:

Monday: 11.00am - 7.00pm Tuesday, Wednesday: 9.00am - 6.00pm Thursday: 8.30am - 5.30pm Friday: 9.00am - 3.00pm One saturday per month

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $25-$30/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

About You:

Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required

Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
