Delta Hotels by Marriott – Dartmouth is seeking a 2nd Cook to join our kitchen team. You will perform diverse cooking tasks, ensure quality standards, and manage food preparation in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of kitchen experience, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. We offer a signing bonus, shift premiums, education reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Use a repertoire of cooking methods including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking.
• Recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy and grains; manage leftovers and waste.
• Be aware of common food allergens and substitutes.
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with guests, vendors and coworkers.
• Support team to reach goals, listen and respond to concerns of colleagues.
• Receive and store food deliveries; rotate stock to minimize waste.
• Monitor sanitation of the kitchen and equipment.
• Follow directions from Chef.
• Support the team and deliver detail-oriented work.

What you will be doing:

• Knowledge of common food allergens and their substitutes;
• Developing and maintaining professional and positive working relationships with guests, vendors and coworkers;
• Supporting team to reach common goals, listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees;
• Helping to receive and store food deliveries, ensuring that all product is properly rotated to minimize wastage/spoilage;
• Monitoring and controlling maintenance/sanitation of the kitchen and equipment;
• Following directions from Chef;
• Supporting the team and delivering detail-oriented work;
• such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time.

The Person we’re looking for has:

• Passionate about Food & Beverage and a minimum of 1-2 years of similar work experience.
• Ability to understand and follow directions from others.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• Possess the proven ability to plan and prioritize.
• A high school diploma or GED would be a plus.
• Basic knowledgeable of culinary operations, a team player, hard worker, and detail oriented.
