Job summary

Bento Inc. is seeking a part-time driver to transport and collect products between our Manitoba facilities and client sites. You will maintain safety standards, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure precise paperwork while delivering courteous service.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Physically capable of lifting/moving items up to 23 kg (50 lb).
• Detail oriented and well organized for accurate paperwork.
• Flexible to work various shifts and weekends.
• Ability to drive for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver/pick-up products to/from designated sites and businesses.
• Follow safe load/unload practices and maintain on-time operations.
• Record shipment information and verify documentation for accuracy.
• Perform pre-start vehicle inspections and fueling as required.
• Provide feedback to supervisors on customer, delivery, or mechanical issues.
• Adhere to safe driving procedures and road laws; maintain vehicle cleanliness.

Location and hours

Manitoba Food Factory:9-1393 Border St, Winnipeg, MB R3H 0N1 | Saturday: 3:00 am to 11:30 am and Sunday: 5:00 am to 1:30 pm

Responsibilities

As a driver, you play a pivotal role between factory to client, delivering and picking up products from designated locations while providing prompt and courteous customer service. You see safety as a top priority and follow all safe operating practices, including pre-start inspections of vehicles and proper loading and unloading procedures. Lastly, your attention to detail will ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.

• Deliver/pick-up products to/from designated sites and/or businesses.


• Use safe load/unload practices and ensure on-time operations.


• Record shipment information and check documentation for completion and accuracy. May include, but not limited to: daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle inspection.


• Perform pre-start vehicle inspection and fuel as required.


• Provide feedback to supervisors regarding customer, delivery or mechanical problems.


• Adhere to driver safe operating procedures and road laws.


• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
