Job summary

Amarr Garage Doors, part of ASSA ABLOY, is seeking a delivery driver in Calgary. This role involves safe, on-time deliveries, loading and unloading goods, and assisting with warehouse tasks when not driving.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, 1 year of delivery driving experience, and the ability to meet company safety standards. The workweek is Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, with a pay rate of $28-30/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Air Brake/“Q” Endorsement strongly preferred or ability to obtain.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Experience driving box trucks or similar (1 year minimum).
• Warehouse duties in non-climate controlled environment.
• Frequent bending, lifting 50–75 lbs, and physical exertion.

Responsibilities

• Provide deliveries to customers safely and on time following company policies.
• Keep driver certification documents ready and available for display.
• Assist in production orders in the warehouse when not driving.
• Load and unload customers and inspect for damage.
• Receive incoming product and unload it accurately.

Job description

We have a delivery truck driver opening in Calgary and are looking for the best to join our team.

This is a physically demanding job with consistent heavy lifting in a non-climate controlled environment. Please only apply if you are comfortable working in those conditions.

In this position you will :

• Provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner while strictly following Amarr’s policies spelled out in the Driver Handbook (including pre-trip, inspections, log books, safe driving, etc.).
• Keep all drivers certification documents ready and available for display at all times.
• Assist in the completion of production orders in warehouse when not driving.
• Accurately load & unload customers. (Inspect for damaged materials).
• Unload and accurately receive incoming product.

Requirements :

• Valid driver's license (required).
• Air Brake/”Q” Endorsement (strongly preferred) or the ability to obtain this endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience required (2+ years preferred).
• Minimum 1 year experience driving box trucks or similar.
• Warehouse duties performed in a non-climate controlled environment.
• Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting (50-75 lbs.).
• Ability to meet and comply with driver regulations.
• Successfully complete internal Driver Training Program
• Motor Vehicle report must meet Amarr’s s driver standards
• Must be 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent.

The Details :

This position is Monday - Friday from 7am – 4pm, however flexibility is required in case early or late deliveries are needed. The pay rate is $28-30/hr based on experience. .
