Job summary

Amarr Garage Doors in Calgary seeks a delivery truck driver to provide safe, timely deliveries in a non-climate controlled environment. The role includes loading, unloading, and assisting in warehouse duties, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 7am–4pm hours.

The position requires a valid driver's license, 1 year of delivery driving (2+ years preferred), and experience with box trucks. Endorsements are preferred or obtainable. Compensation is $28-30/hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Air Brake/“Q” Endorsement strongly preferred or ability to obtain it.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience driving box trucks or similar.
• Warehouse duties performed in a non-climate controlled environment.

In this position you will:

• Provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner while strictly following Amarr’s policies spelled out in the Driver Handbook (including pre-trip, inspections, log books, safe driving, etc.).
• Keep all drivers certification documents ready and available for display at all times.
• Assist in the completion of production orders in warehouse when not driving.
• Accurately load & unload customers. (Inspect for damaged materials).
• Unload and accurately receive incoming product.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (required).
• Air Brake/""Q” Endorsement (strongly preferred) or the ability to obtain this endorsement.

• Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting (50-75 lbs.).
• Ability to meet and comply with driver regulations.
• Successfully complete internal Driver Training Program Motor Vehicle report must meet Amarr’s s driver standards Must be 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent.

The Details

This position is Monday - Friday from 7am – 4pm, however flexibility is required in case early or late deliveries are needed. The pay rate is $28-30/hr based on experience.
